Continuous rice growing (1974)
This IREC Farmers Newsletter presents information on the practice of continuing cropping. The practice was relatively new in 1974 as farm sizes were smaller. Included in the report are the problems of stubble cropping which include possible increase nitrogen requirements, snail, slime and weed issues, difficulties in seed bed preparations , change in fertilizer practices, admixture of s different varieties and water table issues. All this issues had been studied and were continued to be studied in 1975 growing season.
