Integrated Pest Management (IPM) is about using a variety of different control strategies which, when used in combination, produce a nonfavourable environment for pests. The control strategies are primarily nonchemical and focus on prevention rather than cure. IPM aims at minimising the use of toxic chemicals that can be harmful to humans and to the environment.
