This IREC Farmers Newsletter article presents information on making a marking wheel. The marking wheel was a innovation that provided a simple and cheap solution to the problem of accurately and quickly measuring the required distance between aircraft passes. The report presents a brief and description on what a marking wheel is, making a simple marking wheel and further possible modification. Visual plans of a marking wheel are presented within the report. The conclusion of the report states that the making of a marking wheel is relatively cheap and simple. The wheel is also easy to use and has the effect of being more accurate and the author believes it will become a popular innovation on most rice farms.
