Sustainability - Paper presented at Temperate Rice Conference.
Only two of the 35 overseas papers focused on sustainability issues, compared with eight of the 45 Australian papers. Any attempts to explain this difference would be uninformed speculation, so I won't.  Two threats to sustainability were discussed – high watertables and pesticide impacts.
