The quality of rice is influenced by protein content and degree of milling of the grain.  Opus has rated consistently as high quality, comparable to Koshihikari and would be acceptable in North Asia markets.  Hitomebore cannot compete with Opus in terms of quality and would not be suitable for cultivation in NSW.
